You’ve had a year full of ups and downs, and now it’s time to send 2009 out with your very best!! We’ll have a party (pizza, beer, wine, cookies provided) & print competition for all in attendance with some really amazing prizes for First, Second, & Third place!

Bring your favorite images and albums to share with others!! For the Print Competition, print your favorite image (doesn’t matter what genre) from 2009 as a full bleed 8×12 or 8×10 with no logos or watermarks. We’ll display them on the wall and everyone will vote for the best! You’re also welcome to bring out-takes or other favorites just for fun and to celebrate the year gone by, but you’ll have to decide on just ONE for the print competition!! We can’t wait to celebrate the best of 2009 with you and good luck on being the best of the Boston PUG!!

Jim shared video montages made by the various departments within Pictage, providing a humorous look behind the scenes of the company and its structure. He also shared stories and images from his personal life and gave an overview of his professional history and qualifications. When addressing the past and future of Pictage, Jim spoke frankly about the company’s needs and plans for future improvements. One of the underlying goals of the future direction is to make Pictage a service that serves the needs of photographers and allows photographers to customize the service in a way that works best for them.

7 pm – Cookies & water were available while guests mingled
7:20 pm – Opened meeting with special guests: Heather Minicucci of Simply Inviting Weddings, Jim Greene of Vital Memories, and Whit Wales of Wales Films.

Special guests shared their thoughts on working with photographers on the wedding day and the recurring theme was about having a sense of shared communication between all vendors. Photographers also shared some of their experiences when working with videographers and wedding planners, as well as partnered business strategies that have and haven’t worked. When asked what organizations our guests found to be beneficial in their fields, the following were mentioned:

Association of Bridal Consultants
International Special Events Society
National Association of Catering Executives
